Drug Holidays- New Weapon or Just a Break
Efficacy of the drug depends upon dosing amount and frequency of the dosing. Patient incompliance with the drug administration is a major concern achieving right pharmacological effect. Drug holiday is nothing but patient stops taking medication. In today’s emerging world, drug holiday concept is not only restricted to patient non-compliance but it is used in numerous medical treatments such as HIV, Prostate cancer, osteoporosis etc. Every technique that comes out is not 100% accurate and drug holiday is not exception to this. With increasing advance techniques in medical field, drug holiday could be emerged as a promising therapeutic coverage and will change the standard of health care.
