Concomitant Pneumocystis & cytomegalovirus infections in immunocompromised patients: An under-explored but emerging infectious disease challenge.

Immunocompromised individuals including AIDS patients, solid organ and bone-marrow-transplant recipients, and patients receiving cytotoxic chemotherapies often suffer from Pneumocystis jirovecii (PJ) and/or Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections.
