Biography:

Patience A Akpan Haematology Unit, Department of Medical Laboratory Science, University of Calabar. Patience Akpan currently works at the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences (Haematology Unit), University of Calabar. Major Research Interest Haematological and immunological interactions associated with infections-Tuberculosis, Malaria, Hepatitis. Other research areas include the description of haematological and haemorheologic changes in sickle cell anaemia, pregnancy and Pre-eclampsia. Current project: Haemostatic and Inflammatory Parameters of Tuberculosis Patients.
