This rapid communication article highlights the significance of SEM in today's healthcare landscape, emphasizing its impact on individuals and society. [1]

Physical inactivity has become a global epidemic, contributing to the rise of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and mental health issues. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that 1 in 4 adults worldwide do not meet the recommended levels of physical activity. SEM professionals are at the forefront of efforts to combat this crisis by prescribing exercise as a preventive measure and helping individuals of all ages and fitness levels incorporate physical activity into their lives.
