Introduction

Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a rare disease characterized by the proliferation and accumulation of Langerhans cells, a type of dendritic cell, in various organs and tissues of the body. Langerhans cells are normally found in the skin, lungs, and lymph nodes, where they play a role in immune surveillance and antigen presentation.
