Adapt or perish: A review on COVID-19 disruption, emerging technologies and new business models.

This paper aims to conduct a review on the effects of COVID-19 on emerging technologies and new business models, emphasizing the role of adaptation in navigating the disruptions caused by the pandemic. In regards to the design and methodology, the literature on this topic was revised, allowing the identification of key themes and trends related to the adoption of new technologies and business models in response to the pandemic.

The findings suggest that COVID-19 has accelerated the adoption of new technologies and business models, particularly in the areas of E-commerce and remote work. The pandemic has created a sense of urgency among businesses to adapt to changing consumer behaviors and preferences, leading to the emergence of new business models and innovative approaches to service delivery. The practical implications of these findings are significant, as they highlight the importance of agility and flexibility in business operations. Companies that are able to adapt quickly to changing market conditions are better positioned to survive and thrive in the new normal.
