Research Journal of Apoptosis & Cell Death

Journal Banner

Apoptosis is referred to as programmed cell death that occurs in multicellular organisms. It is indispensable to maintain the normal growth and functioning of body tissues and organs. Current studies pertaining to cell death and apoptosis are focussed on deciphering the molecular mechanism of apoptosis and how it can be used as a therapeutic tool for the treatment of chronic diseases.

Journal of Apoptosis and Cell Death is an open access, peer reviewed, scientific journal that focusses on the publication of unprecedented and original research findings in the field of cell Biology, clinical biochemistry, immunology and molecular biology pertaining to enhancing our present day understanding of mechanism of apoptosis.

The scope of the journal encompasses contemporary research developments pertaining to the diagnosis and treatment of HIV/AIDS, autoimmune diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, osteoporosis, viral infections and aging. The journal also prioritizes the worldwide dissemination of basic concepts and conceptual breakthroughs relating to apoptosis in plants and animals, cancer cells, cancer metabolism, tumorigenesis, toxicology and pathology. Novel findings in programmed cell death research with special emphasis on the cellular mechanism of apoptosis viz. chromatin condensation, DNA fragmentation, caspase pathway etc. are welcome.
