Dr. Lyn-Marie Birkholtz is from Department of Biochemistry, University of Pretoria, Private Bag X20 Hatfield, Pretoria, 0028, South Africa. As Chair in Sustainable Malaria Control (within the University of Pretoria Institute for Sustainable Malaria Control), she generate high-content biological information of malaria parasites to broaden our understanding of essential processes driving malaria parasite development and differentiation. This information is a catalyst to antimalarial drug discovery and support sustained malaria control chemotherapies in a malaria elimination agenda.
