Academy for Economics and Economic Education

Larry Dale, Editor
dalex@cherokee.astate.edu

The Academy for Economics and Economic Education is an affiliate of the Allied Academies (click here to view Journals). The AEEE has established as its mission, providing the academic community with a forum for the discussion, publication and dissemination of research into the field of general economics and economic education.   The current time for review is approximately three months.

We are particularly interested in receiving papers in either applied or academic research related to economic education at both the collegiate and Kindergarten through grade twelve levels. It is our hope that a better understanding of the learning process with respect to the discipline of economics will provide both better teaching methodologies and materials for use in the classroom.

Further, the Academy, through its forum format will encourage the discussion and dissemination of economic education related matters, again providing opportunities for enrichment of the curriculum.

In terms of general economics, we are looking for quality research into the ever changing science of economics in the hope that such research will expand the knowledge base of academics with a spillover effect to the collegiate community and beyond.

In addition we plan to provide an opportunity for newcomers and students preparing for the field to establish their credentials in conjunction with tested veterans.

The AEEE will launch a journal, the Economics and Economic Education Research Journal, in 2000. This journal, combined with the semiannual meetings and paper proceedings, will support the organization in completing its mission.
