Academy of Accounting and Financial Studies
The Academy of Accounting and Financial Studies Journal (click here
to view Journals) is published by the Allied Academies, but the Editorial Board is independent of
that body and exercises control over the editorial content. The Journal is currently published
twice annually. Authors of manuscripts are invited to make direct submissions at any time. In addition,
the Journal encourages participants in Allied Academies' conferences to submit their manuscripts
for simultaneous review. The current time for review is approximately three months.
The AAFSJ is a double blind, refereed journal which publishes theoretical and empirical
manuscripts in accounting and finance. Its primary objective is to expand the boundaries of the
literature by supporting the exchange of ideas and insights which further the understanding of
accounting and finance. Its current acceptance rate for manuscripts is 25%.
Authors of practical or educational papers may also submit them to the AAFSJ for review.
Manuscripts which the Editorial Board consider to be of interest to practitioners may be published in the
Executive Forum, a special section of the Journal dedicated to current issues. Manuscripts which
have an educational or pedagogic orientation in accounting or finance are refereed by the
Editorial Board for possible publication in the Academy of Educational Leadership Journal.
Subjects of interest to the Editorial Board include general accountancy and taxation. Authors who wish
to discuss potential interest in a manuscript should contact the Editor by e-mail.
Individuals interested in becoming members of the Editorial Board should contact the
Executive Director
by e-mail. The Journal is interested in expanding its Board and solicits inquiries.
